Although I write this announcement today primarily for the benefit of ex-CN members, it would also serve as an interesting and possibly valuable read for any torrent user that may be interested in playing a role in building something revolutionary.

For those who were members of CN, there need not be any introduction of the innovation, vision and ultimately unique experience it offered. For those unfamiliar and wish to know more, an apt and interactive review of the site can be found here: http://www.cnreview.co.cc/

The irony isn't lost on me, that where we once chastised the user for making the review, it would be the review that now sustains the site's legacy.

Essentially, the site went down due to a series of unfortunate circumstances. What many didn't know was that for the past few months, iKiller (our main coder and site owner), had developed a serious medical condition which rendered him unable to use a computer or view a screen for more than 6 hours a week. His days of coding and indeed torrenting seemed dismal but he tried as best as he could to hang on, while we searched for a suitable replacement. What eventually caused the site's demise was a server failure which wiped all our data. iKiller had kept backup data on a VPS, but due to his limited time he could spend on computers, he was not as connected as before, and little did he know, the VPS experienced technical failures as well. And thus befell CN: the site.

So while the site as you know CN has gone down, my dream and vision has not. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that I announce, I intend to continue the dream.

The plans for CN's return are indeed true.

We have managed to recover a 1 year old backup of the database and we are planning to work from there.

Expect everything you loved from the old CN, but with new changes that will blow your mind too.

For all those that were CN members, please join our CN IRC, as we prepare to launch the new site. The address is : Server: 67.228.153.27 Port 6667 or SSL Port 6697. #Cosanostra

Those who still have your CN torrents/movies, please keep them as they will be vital when the new site is up.

For those who weren't members of CN, but would like to come on board this new project, feel free to come and join the IRC as well.

And last but not least, CN is moving away from the previous secrecy policies.

Our ultimate goal is to become a long term stable archive of movies, while at the same time offering a unique and innovative tracker experience and solid community of movie enthusiasts and lover, or simply for users looking for a place to call home in this sea of trackers.

With you CN members back together, I will essentially have all the tools available for that success. I will not pretend that the path towards greatness will encompass some time and effort, but through a collective effort, the most important fact would be that it is possible. If CN has proven anything, its that innovation and foresight isn't simply a pipe dream, but a solid reality.

Once again, for those who are interested in being part of the formation and building of something greater than CN was, now is the time to join the team and work towards that.

Yours sincerely,

TheDevil

P.S:this was posted on a forum and still not public so please dont copy and paste this anywhere.....i brought it just for IS members....it also has the irc info....:)
