Intel or AMD

Years ago, I built mostly AMD systems, but I had a lot of issues with the chipsets. Audio problems, drive issues, network issues, etc. Switched to intel processors and chipsets and everything was much smoother. My latest machine is a little Shuttle box with an Inel I5 and it is a speed demon. So, Intel for me :D

I also use to build AMD machines but now Intel just smashes them these days.

I currently have an AMD chipset in my rig and it's nice for the price. It has no problems, but Intel would blow it out of the water any day.

Intel. All the way. Especially in today's market and in terms of performance. It's a shame tho. I like AMD a lot. I built a computer when I was younger with an AMD processor and it was amazing.

Seems like a lot of use to play around and build our rigs with AMD, I too was a fan of AMD especially in my competitive gaming days. Years went by and Intel just gets better and better, they had improved enough for me to enjoy and give good reviews on their processors...

I will say go for intel if money is not a concern. AMD was good a decade ago but now intel processors are good for compatibility

Intel is better , but not necessarily faster , AMD is a mobile processor and so it cant cope with a lot of gaming and a lot of use.

Intel used to rule back in the day, but AMD has come a long way. If you look at their benchmarks nowadays, AMD is usually the faster of the two. So if pure speed is a deciding factor, you probably wanna go AMD. :)
