My Hero Academia Movie Poster Shows Off New Costumes For Deku, Bakugo, & Shoto

A new My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission poster shows off the new costumes for Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki. Years later, My Hero Academia is still going strong as one of the most popular manga/anime brands. Season 5 of the series premiered in back in March. The manga, which hit 300 chapters back in February, has been furthering the storyline with a reveal and status quo change.

It's no surprise My Hero Academia has received a couple of theatrical films. The first of these, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, released back in 2018. Much to fans' delight, it featured a flashback to a younger All Might in the United States. The present-day story saw Deku arrive on an island for a convention, where he met All-Might's old friend. The film even briefly featured a Godzilla homage in the form of Godzillo. The second movie, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, was in many ways even more notable. With a Rotten Tomatoes user score of 98%, it's fair to say it was a big hit with fans. The story saw all of Class 1-A helping the residents of Nabu Island. Things took a turn for the deadly, however, when three villains arrived. Perhaps the biggest aspect was Deku giving his power to Bakugo in the climax. The next movie in the franchise, My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, releases in Japanese theaters on August 6.

The teaser trailer for My Hero Academia: Worlds Heroes' Mission revealed Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki would be donning new costumes. A new poster (via Atsu) for the highly anticipated film showcases the suits. Check it out below:

Not too much has been revealed about the story of World Heroes' Mission. The teaser revealed that Deku is wanted for mass murder. The big question is how Deku ends up being framed and what the antagonist wants to accomplish. Of course, it will also be great seeing the new costumes in action. It's pretty good timing too, as Deku recently donned a separate new costume in the manga, as seen in his recent fight with Muscular.

Seeing the triple tag team of contrasting personalities in the new movie should be a treat. So far, the films have been good additions to the franchise. They have delivered great character moments, action, and the dialogue fans love. It will be interesting seeing what the latest film brings to the table. There's no word yet on the international release plans for My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, so fans will have to stay tuned.
