A new LEGO bust has been unveiled for the Marvel villain Carnage, teasing his possible design in the forthcoming Venom 2. After his human form was introduced in 2018's Venom, Woody Harrelson's iteration of Cletus Kasady, aka Carnage, is set to make his official debut in the sequel, subtitled Let There Be Carnage. The character was created by writer David Michelinie and artist Mark Bagley. Carnage debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #361 in April 1992.

Initially planned to act as the primary antagonist in the first film, the creative team elected to delay the arrival of Carnage in order to better introduce and develop Eddie Brock, Venom, and their symbiotic relationship. Harrelson signed on to the role without any guarantee of a sequel, but Let There Be Carnage was officially announced in January 2019. Andy Serkis eventually stepped into the director's chair after the departure of Ruben Fleischer due to his work on Zombieland: Double Tap. Alongside the returns of Tom Hardy, Harrelson, and Michelle Williams, the sequel will include the arrivals of Naomie Harris as Cletus's love interest Shriek and Boardwalk Empire's Stephen Graham in an undisclosed role.

The new LEGO bust of Carnage takes a comics-accurate approach to the character with a low, red brow, protruding jaw packed with bayonet-like teeth, and a sturdy base to display the 546-brick project. The bust sits at 7" tall and is specifically designed for consumers 18 years old and over. It is set to ship on May 13 and retails for $60.

While any kind of first look at Carnage would be nice for fans to finally see, it should be noted the LEGO bust isn't explicitly the actual design being utilized for Let There Be Carnage, as the product packaging only indicates a general Marvel connection. However, the description on the site does note the replica "provides Marvel movie fans and model-making enthusiasts" a highly rewarding challenge. It may not be a direct confirmation of its ties to the upcoming installment of the Sony Pictures universe of Marvel characters, but given Carnage has yet to appear in any other films, this could be enough of an indicator that the design of the bust is inspired by his appearance in the forthcoming sequel.

One of the biggest issues fans took with Harrelson's depiction of the character in the first film was the ridiculous red wig and cringeworthy dialogue he delivered. While set photos have indicated a more low-key design for Cletus, fans are still waiting with bated breath for the first look at Carnage and Shriek together. With the first film offering a faithful design of the titular symbiote and the studio looking to improve on the negative reception to it, fans can certainly keep their hopes high that Carnage is a menace to combat when Venom 2 arrives in theaters on September 24.
