James Gunn confirms a small, but adorable little detail about Ratcatcher II in the latest images from The Suicide Squad. Gunn's first-ever DC film promises to take the titular team of villains and anti-heroes in a brand new direction. Taking some cues from the 2016 Suicide Squad but also doing its own thing, the new movie will introduce a slew of colorful characters from the comics as they embark on a dangerously wild mission. As they venture to the island of Corto Maltese, it can be assumed not everyone in The Suicide Squad will actually live to see the end credits.

While audiences will recognize characters like Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), much of The Suicide Squad's cast are brand new additions to the franchise. They range from the straightforward, like Idris Elba's violent Bloodsport, to the absurd, like Polka Dot Man (David Dastmalchian). On the latter end of the spectrum looks to be Daniela Melchoir as Ratcatcher II, a villain who controls and works with rats. Ratcatcher II has yet to be depicted in film, making The Suicide Squad the very first project to feature an iteration of the comics character.

On Tuesday, four new images from The Suicide Squad were released online, showing Ratcatcher II and her team. Said team is comprised of her, Bloodsport, Polka Dot Man, King Shark (Sylvester Stallone), and Peacemaker (John Cena). Some eagle-eyed fans have noticed a little rat perched on Ratcatcher II's shoulder, and Gunn took to social media to confirm the little guy is named Sebastian. "He wears a little outfit and was played in turn by two lovely real life rats - Jaws and Crisp Ratt," Gunn wrote. You can catch a glimpse of Sebastian (and Gunn's post) down below.

Gunn previously said Ratcatcher II is the Suicide Squad character he's most excited for fans to see. Though she might not seem like the most conventional fan favorite, Gunn has a knack for getting audiences invested in strange characters (Guardians of the Galaxy being a prime example). That audiences who are less familiar with the comics might not know Ratcatcher II very well can actually work in The Suicide Squad's favor; viewers will be pleasantly surprised by all they learn about her.

The Suicide Squad has a lengthy cast list, but several characters have already been earmarked as standouts. Aside from Ratcatcher II, Cena's Peacemaker has already scored a spin-off, and there's a great deal of excitement surrounding King Shark's live-action movie debut. With The Suicide Squad still months away, hopefully new details about its many characters will make their way online so audiences know just what they're getting into.
