Netflix Releases Army of the Dead Story Guide

Netflix has released an Army of the Dead story guide to supplement Zack Snyder's upcoming film. Nearly two decades after his directorial debut Dawn of the Dead, Snyder will return to the zombie milieu with Army of the Dead. This will be his first film post-DCEU after his final bow, Zack Snyder's Justice League, premiered on HBO Max in March. Now, the filmmaker will pivot to Netflix for the release of his zombie thriller, which will also spawn a larger franchise for Snyder that includes an animated series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, and a live-action prequel, Army of Thieves.

Following a zombie outbreak that is contained to Sin City and has left it in ruins, Army of the Dead follows Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and a ragtag group of all-star mercenaries who attempt to pull off a $200 million heist in a vault underneath the Las Vegas Strip. But the catch is, the city will be nuked by the government in 32 hours, causing Bautista and crew to frantically race against the clock. The team also includes mercenaries played by Ana de la Reguarea, Omari Hardwick, Ella Purnell, Garett Dillahunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, and Tig Notaro.
