Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon adds four to cast

As the long-awaited adaptation of David Grann’s iconic novel continues to gear up to go into production later this year, the cast for Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon is continuing to expand as Tatanka Means (I Know This Much is True), Michael Abbott Jr. (The Dark and The Wicked), Pat Healy (The Pale Door) and Scott Shepherd (Bridge of Spies) have signed on to star.

Means is set to star as John Wren, Abbott Jr. as Frank Smith and Healy as John Burgers, federal agents who are working with Jesse Plemons’ (i’m thinking of ending things) Tom White to investigate the murders in the Osage Nation, while Shepherd will portray Bryan Burkhart, brother to Leonardo DiCaprio’s Ernest.

The group join an impressive ensemble cast that will be led by DiCaprio (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Robert De Niro (The Irishman), Lily Gladstone (First Cow), Tantoo Cardinal (Wind River), Cara Jade Myers (This Is Us), JaNae Collins (Fukry), Jillian Dion (Legion), William Belleau (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), Louis Cancelmi (The Irishman), Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson (The Hunt).

Based on Grann’s acclaimed 2017 novel of the same name, the story is set in 1920s Oklahoma and explores the serial murder of members fo the oil-weathy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that would later come to be known as the Reign of Terror.

Scorsese is directing the project on a script from Oscar winner Eric Roth (Mank) and is producing alongside Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas and Appian Way Productions.
