I use Leaseweb, it's dedicated hardware running a distro of linux. They also provide Windows if you require, but it is a bit more expensive. There are four of us (friends) that chip in together to lease the hardware and have had it for about 3 years now. We get 4TB transfer each month and again it is dedicated hardware. It costs us about $80 per year each. We also host a few websites on the box as well so we think it is money well spent. I can recommend Leaseweb to anyone if you are looking for dedicated hardware.

I've noticed ChunkHost is offering a free VPS service as an introduction to their paid services. You can check out their plans here https://chunkhost.com/ and you will see their prices are outrageous. This, however does not speak for their free box. With a mere 2GBs of space and 256mb RAM, you have just enough to run rutorrent on it! Although you won't be able to hold more than one torrent, you will be able to use this as a learning seedbox to help you get around installing rutorrent, fixing it, seeing its flaws, and trying out various other clients.
